That ffmpeg only to determine video movie length. We will not support online ffmpeg conversion for video. Because nowadays if you want to build media site you cannot do it on simple hosting or even VPS or even Dedicated server. There is only one way is to use media services, CDN, Cloud media servers, ...

I think it is good solution for startups or few videos on your site. You cannot build successful video service with this. No way!

Thus, efforts to create code to maintain features like this do not cost a result. Because with more than 100 videos and 10 000 views a day it become useless. Then why should we spend time for something that will not finally work?

If you want to demonstrate video on your site you can host video on youtube or vimeo and just post on your site.

Tell me what is the reason you need that video is stored on your own server?
