Hello, i just played with image-field parameter and resizing. In article full-view there is a lightbox feature, which allows to open the full-size image. As far as i can see, the utilized "lightbox2" jquery script adapts to the current browser window height and width. i.e. if the image is bigger than the current screen estate, the lightbox frame adjusts accordingly. So the whole image fits into the visible browser window.

At least, this is the officiallightbox2 demo v2.6 behavior.

ISSUE:

Cobalt's lightbox does not fit into the browser! The image is cropped by the browser window. lightbox controls are not reachable.

Latest Cobalt includes lightbox2 v2.5.1

Is this a limitation of this version? Or just a missing option that is not passed/activated? A fitting image is a must-have!

PS: I don't remember the exact topic, but we had an extensive discussion about possible lightbox clones and responsive display. I think this was possible in previous Cobalt versions. Also in ME Resources and ShadowBox ;-)

FYI - a very quick and dirty test with v2.6 script replacement.

2.6 ChangeLog mentions new default options and resize-to-viewport!

1.) Unfortunately, i see a serious issue with wrong lightbox container width. Also found related issues and a possible fix/patch on GitHub. (Not working for me).

2.) Additional error in browser console:

"ReferenceError: Can't find variable: LightboxOptions"

BTW, i wonder what... and if there will be a new Joomla core modal lightbox script? Since squeezebox is MooTools related, it is questionable to use it in the future. Loading hundreds of KB for a simple lightbox?!

As far as i know, bootstrap v2 modals are limited. Or is it meant to be the only core modal window in J!3.5+ ?

FYI - latest Lightbox2 build includes the image height fix for Bootstrap etc.

Download MASTER from github. (not 2.6 link on homepage)
