• Simple Poll Field

I like poll idea. Because other things may be added on the level of template I do not see much demand for it. Although it also will be good for those who do not want to edit templates.

i believe that fields like Facebook, Google+ or ShareIt are typical examples for enhanced templates, not for fields.

It will just add unnecessary records to the database. And even if it does not store anything, than it depends on the standard Cobalt logic which will not display fields without content. So it would need a modified template anyway.

A useful field would be an "External-Multi-Level-SQL" field. There were already some discussions about this.

Querying an external table and display results in several levels.

A typical example would be --> Country-State-Town

Select a country, then the next select control will be populated with the States, after selecting the states the next control will be populated with Town.

Or another example is a product selector --> Group-Brand-Model

Another field could be a conditional (pre-filtered) selector.

Based on content of a field, selections would be offered.

Or a quite simple task would be different/improved Boolean field.

Or a "RelateUser" field, which works like the parent/child field, just assigning users to the record. (was discussed before)

An alternative Gallery field, using the cobalt upload mechanism, an alternative Map-field etc....

Isn't it what multiple level select is? Could not see the difference?

"EXTERNAL SQL" ... using external tables

As far as i could see, the multiple level select requires manual encoded values.

In a country database, we might have thousands of towns and depending on the database there might be 10thousands of smaller local government units.

I have, for example, a national database with regions, provinces, towns/municipalities, districts (~ 40K records).. this would be the perfect setup for an external-table-sql-multiple select field.

Especially considering the fact that these records have more information "attached" than only the Name.

But MLS uses DB table to encode data. You may populate or import in it manually if you need to use a lot of values.

Give me more fields ideas and suggestion

Exemple ---> i want create simple directory of websites (portfolio, or like an advanced weblinks directory)

and i want show their informations like google plus Page .... and other things

we can do it only by url field ! , but if i want see google plus widget (called google plus badge) , i need i special field for this !!

i think all fields that i will create will be useful !! , and will be more powerfull if added in cobalt field , we can build rich records !

Give me more fields ideas and suggestion
