to keep the assets table free from unnecessary records, it would be nice to have a TYPE parameter where we can decide if a record should be created or not.

I just deleted around 80,000 unnecessary records there.

That is good actually. The only problem we do not yet know how to do this? Looks like if you have asset_id column in your table Joomla just take care of it on itself.

I have figured out how to disable it. May be I will not do a parameter but disable it completely? Because it does not save anything any way. What do you think?

To keep a high compatibility to Joomla, it should be there. If someone uses it for ACL it might be worth to keep it (actually I have not tested it yet for functionality), but if someone does not need it on record level it is useless and might just make it mored difficult to deal with the Joomla ACL when there is a big number of records.

But if it is needed one day, than there might be a need for an reindex tool.
