The date format in the filter tooltip should follow the output format and not the storage format. It might create confusion ... see screen shot

The filters doesnt have its own format as input or output. It doesnt use any format as it takes data from the table as it. It was developed in this way.

The addition new parameter or functional is more Idea question

as i see it, the parameter "output format" should apply to all instances, where you display the field value. If you display it the way you do in the moment, it might create confusion.

Imagine a date 06/05/2004 (%d/%m/%Y) and then the filter displays it as 2004-06-05 etc...

If you see it as an "idea", i hope it will be considered for implementation, since it is important (at least to me) to display the same value always in the same way and not in different formats ... (just a matter of professional presentation) :)
