Using the print button in an article template creates unwanted content on the printout.

A print would for example print the comment edit box, captcha etc which should definitely not be on the print out.

Another issue is the tabs. As of now it will just ignore other tabs than the active --> print out will only display a subset of article information.

I think it required dedicated article print layout. We will add it in Cobalt 9.

I think, the mentioned issues can be solved with CSS and additional classes. Hence "sackgesicht's " links and bootstrap utility classes.

Although, other parts might need a special "component" template view... . BTW, joomla supports multiple (custom) files as "component" view. So, you might create and deliver a special file for Cobalt. Not sure about the benefits: Maybe View/Print restrictions per user group/ACL?
