It would be good if rating will have possibility to change stars quantity from admin panel so user can simply choose how much stars will be displayed in rating, without maing changes in template files, Zoo and some other components already use this options so I think most users will be happy to have this options.
Also it will be good if rating step will be half star, because for example in 5star rating step is 20%, so you can give only 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100% rating, but what if user wants to rate it for 70% or 90%?
Also it will be good if users can change their rating, for example if user has rated article for 80% before, but he changed his mind and wants to rate it for 90% he just will rate again and it will be changed.
