Hi, I can't get Cobalt to send notification emails.

I have checked the following:

  • cron.send is enabled and running every 5 minutes, secret is set in configuration. cron email confirms working.
  • Notification emails are enabled for the section.
  • My user account is set as global moderator.
  • Other email notifcations from the site are working.

Is there anything I am missing?

Cheers, Rob.

Note that you will not get notifications of events that you have already seen in notification center. Also check you notification parameters in Notification center. If you receive alerts once a day, then you might simply read all notifications before alert is generated.

Hi Sergey, thanks for the quick response. I'm not getting any notifications at all from Cobalt. My test scenario is to log into the front end as a registered user, and add an article into a section that I know has email notification enabled. I have done this, and not logged in as administrator (also global moderator) and no notification email has been sent. I have instant notification enabled on my account.

Please check your cron tack. Open URL you use in cron and see what you get. If you get any error or blank screen. But before enable error reporting in global Joomla configuration.
