I am noticing something interesting when viewing a Cobalt record. On this page under the 'Bio' tab there should be an youtube video using an iframe.

http://wdev1.cns.utexas.edu/component/cobalt/item/10-deans-office/1035-hicke-linda?Itemid=289

However if you are not logged into the site it does not show up. If you log into the frontend of site it will show up even for a low level access such as 'Registered'.

Any ideas on why this is happening? I cannot find anywhere where I am restricting access and this is only happening on Cobalt records. Normal Joomla articles do not have this issue.

I am providing front end access for you to see this behavior.

Thank you.

Which view access level you select for video field? It seems that you have choosen Registered, if yes just set Public.

Thank you for the reply Konstantin.

There is no video field however. This is an HTML field and I am trying to embed a youtube video using an iframe.

I know the devs are very busy, but just curious if they have had a chance to test this with the credenitials provided.

I appriciate your time, thank you in advance.

Yes, I have been able to test. But I am confused. I do not have any idea why some HTML elements would be deleted from HTML text based on user access level. May be you use video field to load videos?

Thank you for testing, it is definitely very odd behavior.

This video is a unique case, so I don't think I want to add a video field for all users. I will just go without embedding the video for now. If you happen to think of anything I could try please let me know.

Thanks.
