Why can't user change if he wants to get notifications on status change and add child in notications settings?

Those are field related notifications not article related. Settings does not know if there is such a field.

Does that mean we have to set same settings in field parameters and in events parameters to make this kind of notifications work. Anyway it would be great if users could modify this themselves. Any idea or planned modification to do it?
