How to send email alerts under Windows Server

Hi there!

Is there way to use cobalt's built in email alerts function under windows server 2012 (Microsoft IIS + SQL Server)? If it's not usable is there any way to solve this problem. I use Cobalt for intranet site and there is no way to use Linux+Apache...

Cobalt send emails through Joomla API. If you configure SMTP as email gateway I think it will send emails perfectly.

But you still need some sort of cron. I am not sure, but i think it is calles tasks in IIS.
