Hi,

Anyone know how to edit the compare record layout? I've tried editing the template that's set for compare in the section type but it doesn't do anything.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Please in the section parameters set vertical template for compare. This one sreated especialy for article comparisions.

It is simple article list template and you can edit it as any other template in cobalt.

Hi,

Yes I've tried that, I set the compare template to vertical and try and edit the vertical template but nothing changes when I edit it.

nwrightau nothing changes when I edit it

Some thoughts... :

  • you might edit the wrong file
  • your edits are not saved for any reason (remote file and permissions?)
  • did you create overrides in yourTemplate/HTML folder (accidentally)

Thanks, I double checked it's the file that template points to - when you goto Info in template details it shows you the file path. This is the one i'm editing, yet even if i make this file completely blank everything displays.

I must be missing something.

If you really edit the original file... then you must have a copy (override) file in -> YourJoomlaTemplate -> HTML folder.

What file in particualr you edit and what is your section setting for compare? Or you are talking about diff in audit log?

Sergey Or you are talking about diff in audit log?

:) Was about to ask the same question.

Version Control ?

Since there is no template select in backend... you can make a usual J! template override for the default layout. Original files should be located here:

Versions manager

../components/com_cobalt/views/versions/tmpl/

Versions compare

/components/com_cobalt/views/diff/tmpl/

Ahhhh that would be it - it is versions compare. Will take a look there.
