Hi Sergey, We're having some problems with record handling. The permitted moderators cannot approve articles from the front end. When selecting 'My Menu', any subsequent selection takes the user back the site home page.

Any suggestions?

Do you use 3d party SEF extensions? Can you give a link with credentials to check?

We recently redirected the site to a new URL and the menus display differently:

How I understand 928registry.928oc.org and 928oc.org it's two different sites, that's why it display differently.

We have the site set up to redirect all requests for the first site to the second site, so the ultimate ip address should be the same, therefore call up the same Joomla/Cobalt instance.

And what about DB? both sites are connected to the same DB or DB is different?

They point to the same place, so I assume they're using the same DB and are the same site.

You can login in admin area form each domain and check global joomla settings, check db settings.

Both URLs give me the same DB in Joomla Global Configuration.

I login on both domain with credentionals what you give and menu is same. Maybe you login with different users? And 1 has admin right, 2 not, that's why menu is different.

That was it;

But we have a related problem; if I understand corrrectly, that menu should allow me to approve articles for publishing if I am in the admin users group. I am, and we have articles to publish, but I do not see a moderate option in My Menu. (We created a user group 'Registry Admin' and assigned that group in Cobalt as moderator).

You have cobalt moderator Derrick Bass, this user must have rights to approve and this user can create moderators for each section with different right. Add another user to section as moderator with approving rights.

billvv but I do not see a moderate option in My Menu

Try to create moderator manager list in menu. there is Cobalt menu element type.

OK, I created the menu and assigned myself as a moderator, and here is My Menu:

When I select "Need Approval", it takes me to the site home page. I don't think that is correct; what do I need to change to make sure it goes to the list of articles that need to be approved?

Also, need a clarification; I set the 'Registry Admin' user group as Section Moderator:

But did not see the "Need Approval" selection until I made myself a moderator via the menu. Is that how it is supposed to work?
