How set custom translations for specific section or type ?

Did you add it to override.ini file or main Joomla?

Actually, it does not work neither in main joomla nor in override.ini. Here is my custom string :

MY_FILES_EVENT_RECORD_EDITED_PERS (MY_FILES is my key prefix that i replaced in Cobalt type).

Did you try to add this string into Cobalt ini just to check if it will work? What is your exact string in language file?

I added strings as following :

In language/en-GB/en-GB.com_cobalt.ini :

MY_FILES_EVENT_RECORD_EDITED_PERS="[USER] edited his file <b>[TYPE]</b> named [TITLE]."
MY_FILES_EVENT_RECORD_NEW_PERS="[USER] added a new file <b>[TYPE]</b> named [TITLE]."

In language/fr-FR/fr-FR.com_cobalt.ini

MY_FILES_EVENT_RECORD_EDITED_PERS="[USER] a modifié son fichier de type <b>[TYPE]</b> intitulé [TITLE]."
MY_FILES_EVENT_RECORD_NEW_PERS="[USER] a ajouté un nouveau fichier de type <b>[TYPE]</b> intitulé [TITLE]."

Remind : I placed the strings above in section events parameters for New Article and Edit Article. And i placed key prefix MY_FILES in cobalt type parameters.

I've tested it locally. Everything works fine for me. I added prefix and then added language key to languages/overrides/en-GB.override.ini and I can see new translation in events list.

Please check once more you have set up everything correctly.
