Add this to params in module and allow people to choose Fields Module Template or Section Template per Filter Module. This way, you can embed a module into a blank page, as a full page advanced search, using a Filter Module set to Section, to change the module layout (in my case i wanted teh full page moduel to show Checkboxes) and the smaller left hand side module to show drop downs. This setting allows that to happen without coding.
