There is no migration tool for that. Only manually creating new articles in Cobalt 8.

Ohh dear non this was not good to hear for

This now means that you have to build the site from scratch.

And this takes a lot of time when everything is customized

and then so missing it so many field types that are not included in cobalt 8.

Is it possible that you can add any type of field from the OLD resource for cobalt 8?

Thanks for any answers

Actually, almost all fields are available in Cobalt 8. Some fields were just implemented in a different and better way.

A good example is the slider and tab field. This is now controlled by the template.

What fields are you missing?

Only manually creating new articles in Cobalt 8.

The answer is misleading, IMHO. I think you should say:

  • Manually re-creating types and fields.
  • Export (maybe adjust) ME Resources records with JSmigrator (CSV)
  • Alternative export with phpMyAdmin (requires knowledge of Resources DB structure)
  • Import with Cobalt (frontend feature!)

Any of mentioned methods will require manually edit and update article to work.

Anyway. I was saying that there is no migration tool. noting that will do the job for you. This was the main point.
