Hi,

Would I be right in assuming that when records are imported the 'num' or 'id' of the record is automatically assigned and there is no way to change this on import?

Thanks,

Dale.

No way. But why do you need that? ID is the field only for internal use. There is assosiation created. Next time you impoer the same article will be only updated.

Ok.

I need to do it as I am importing a large dataset with other linked tables from an existing website.

The unique id for the records is thus also linked to other tables in the exisiting dataset - so therefore if the unique id for records is the same in cobalt as the existing data my life would be a lot easier. :-)

Thanks for the reply.

Dale.

You can create text field in a tipe where you cave that ID. And hide this field to display.

That's a good idea. Thanks. Please mark as resolved. Ta. Dale.
