Hi,

I've installed the Gallery Plugin ... when I go to add images, they all get uploaded to 100%. When I view or edit the record after the images are not there. I may have missed something, but your help is much appreciated.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks.

D.

An update ...

The same happens for the video field - 100% on upload, then save, but it is not appearing on the record.

Thanks.

D.

Could it be something to do with the "uploads" directory? Not sure really. The 'image' field is working perfectly. Thanks. D.

Did you check the physical location? Are your files in place? (respective subfolders in Cobalt's global "uploads" directory)

Hi pepperstreet.

Thanks for the help.

In the "Main Cobalt settings:" I have:

"General Upload Directory*: uploads"

I've taken a peek at "/public_html/components/com_cobalt" but I cannot see an uploads directory.

Thanks again,

D.

I do see an uploads directory at:

/public_html/uploads

But the only two directories in there are :

"image" and "png"

Thanks.

D.

Turn on debug mode and error reporting to max in global Joomla configuration. may be you will se some error. I think it is related to file permissions.

Thanks for your help.

To investigate further, I uploaded a few photos of varying sizes.

The problem occurs with larger images, not small ones.

In the uploaded form I have set the maximum file upload size and it is displayed as "9,77 Mb"

Sorry, forgot to say:

I do see some warnings, but I'm guessing these are due to failed uploads.

"Warning: Division by zero in xxxx/public_html/libraries/mint/resizeimage.php on line 599 Warning: Division by zero in xxxx/public_html/libraries/mint/resizeimage.php on line 580 Warning: getimagesize(xxxx/public_html/cache/cobalt_thumbs/gallery21-190/31/d6ac83b8bb80e1e7ef6d1a9a2aa40af8.jpg) [function.getimagesize]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in xxxx/public_html/components/com_cobalt/library/php/helpers/image.php on line 110"

Further information ...

I have no problems uploading a large (4Mb) image to the picture field.

Thanks.

Hi,

Not sure if this helps or not, but here are the details of some of the settings for the Gallery field that may or may not be important ...

Upload method is currently set to "Auto", but I have tried all other options still the same problem. Specific subfolder is "gallery". Autostart upload is set to "No", a "Yes" still has the same problem.

I'm not an expert but as things are working with 'small' images for the gallery field, would it be something to do with server settings? There reason that this may not be the case is large image file uploads are OK for the 'Image' field.

Thanks again for your help,

Dale.

If everything works with smaller pictures, most of all it is a server problems. If you give me a link I can look at it.

When you have updated Cobalt last time? Looks like outdated version.

Hi,

I have updated the cobalt pack, and I have installed the gallery field (I purchased it seperately).

I have now made the account I gave you a "Super User".

This was because you selected upload type flash. It is not working properly. I changed to auto and now it uses HTML5.
