Error with SmartSlider 2

Hi,

Sorry to set this issue as critical but we have scheduled the official launching of our website for Monday next week and need an urgent support on this issue.

We are using SmartSlider 2 with Cobalt to show featured records from Cobalt, each time we are trying to save a configuration within SmartSlider integrator, we get a blank page, we were thinking that the error was related to SmartSlider but after deeper investigation and enabling Joomla debug, we get this error when trying to save configuration in SmartSlider:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JApplicationAdministrator::getParams() in /home/golfplus/public_html/components/com_cobalt/api.php on line 210

This definitely shows that the error is related to Cobalt and not SmartSlider, can you please provide us an urgent support with this as it is really very urgent for us.

Hi Sergey,

After updating, it seems there is another problem with SmartSlider now, I am getting the error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function getEmpty() on a non-object in /home/golfplus/public_html/components/com_cobalt/api.php on line 280

I am using Cobalt v. 8.451 on Joomla 3.2.0.

hmm, did you find the solution for this error? Any idea how we can correct it? We need to launch our website before xmas and so far, we cannot test any of our SmartSlider configuration on our website :S

yes i fixed it in next update. The problem is that smart slider calls Cobalt API in backed which is not meant to be done.

Give me link and I'll update and test for other errors.

Hi Sergey,

The 'FEATURED GOLF COURSES' module, it is located on the home page, it is the only slider that is currently unpublished, just publish it and go to the website home page and you'll see the error.
