The new "Date & Time"-field gives me the following error in the front-end. I was able to install 1.8 again and it works fine.

Sven,

it seems the fields are not properly installed in your setup. Maybe a folder permission problem.

Please check after you installed the datetime 2.0 field the folder structure.

There is no default.php output template. Please resave field parameters afre update.
