Hi all,

Does cobalt support remote databases. I want to use in 1 site data from other 4 databases.

Cobalt from its concept and structure supports almost everything. :D

Some of the basic fields have an option to pull data from other tables (within your Joomla installation) through a SQL query.

For a better understanding, please read this topic.

To get data from an external source, you will need a special field or template. Creating special fields is not so complicated. MintJoomla announced some days ago to provide an extensive tutorial for this.

If you describe your scenario a little more in detail (type of data, intended display), maybe someone here is willing to help you with s special field.

If that DB is on the other server we do not have any built-in solution for that. If your DB on the same server you can follow advice of Sackgesicht.
