I don't know how difficult this is to achieve, but it would be very useful.

The record author should be able to enable/disable comments on a "per record" basis, even if a 3d party comments component is being used (eg I use Komento).

This is not difficult. Ерошы option works only for Cobalt core and type comments.

Why? because disable comments does not hide comments that are already there. It simply turn comments into read-only mode.

But problem is that there is no API for 3DP comments to display them in read-only mode.

That means, that after disable we wil have to hide all comments that was previously added.

yeah, I was supposing that, but still I think it would be useful,

eg for user to decide to have no comments in a record from the beginning if he wants to

furthermore when I build a site using only cobalt I could decide which exact pages/records have should have comments and which one not

currently komento integration allow only to disable comments per section (not even per category) whcih is not very flexible

I think that having to hide all the eventually existing comments would be a small loss given the gained flexibility

Hi Sergey, I have also this question. But for me this is not working. Authors can't disable any komento comment in any cobalt article? Is it already implemented?

No This is my scenario: I am using komento as commenting system for my cobalt records. But I would like to know if article authors can disable komento comment for their article or not?

I see. It requires that komento adapter hade that parameter. And it did not. But i added it for the next version of Komento adapter.

In type parameters, Kommento parameters, you will find option to allow users to disabble comemtns or not.

This is what I am not getting. When you say komento parameter, is it komento component parameter. a screenshot will help me.

I downloaded the latest, but no luck, still not showing any option.

I think you have not uploaded latest cobalt everything as the version is still the same old version .498 which is saying updated 1 day ago.

Can you please upload the latest with this change?
