I've changed a content type general parameters to this ...

Thanks.

Please in [] try field ID

Thanks Clowride.

I tried [3] as this is the ID for my text field 'Description' - but no change.

I've also tried adding in the 'key' from the records list, but no change.

I think I'm missing something obvious - and it's due to my lack of understanding, not the system! ;-)

Thanks all, maybe I should explain more.

I am trying to alter the "page title" for the viewing of a full record.

The standard I think is ...

Record_Title - Author_Name - Section_Name

I'd like:

Record_Title - A thing by Author_Name in Section_Name

Thanks,

D.

You need to do some customization in view.html.php

Thanks ... so what is the Composite Title under Article Title in General Parameters of the Content Type used for?

Or do I need to set the Composite Title and also alter view.html.php ?

...what is the Composite Title under Article Title in General Parameters of the Content Type used for?

Composite Title applies to the actual Cobalt ARTICLE TITLE.

That article title is also the leading part of the HTML head title tag.

You are right, the default title tag appends already: - AUTHOR - SECTION NAME

The "-" and "values" are build here:

cobalt/components/com_cobalt/views/record/view.html.php
