multiple level select field: how to customize "select value" text?

thsi field has "select value" as default text...

is it possible to customize it using the field filter template

I do not see any language variable there... I would like to be able to

have different values for different multiple level select fields,

so using the field template to do this would be perfect

BTW it would be easier if the field was using the field label by default instead that a generic "select value"

eg: if field label is "car model"

the default value in multiple level select would be "select car model"

For change "select value" use this language key 'MLS_SELECTVALUE' in file en-GB.com_cobalt_field_multilevelselect.ini.

To get label for each level use parameter 'Level labels', input values separate by new line. Also this values will go throw JText and you can use languages keys.

BTW you have duplicated language file in

components/com_cobalt/fields/multilevelselect/language

at first I was trying to edit it with no results... because the right one is in the main joomla language folder

Yes, it always duplicate, joomla installer copy language file in core language directory. In cobalt this file is copied there with all other files by one folder. Change need file in core joomla lang directory.
