Not sure, if any of you are aware of it. This is a new Joomla Extension where you have inline edit and you can display any fields from any columns with inline edit option on the front end. Here is the url:

http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/miscellaneous/development/24227

Demo is: http://demo.moonsoft.es/demo25/index.php/table-manager

I think in terms of Cobalt , Sergey should also think in the same line of how we can implement like above.

For interim solution, I am just wondering if I can use alongwith/integrate Cobalt into it. The idea for example, the date entry for types situation. If I know which fields fromo what tables are involved, then I can probably configure table manager to do that. Is it possible?

Sergey: When we save records, is it saved in one table or in multiple tables?

Brian,

the Cobalt structure is more complex and depends on the individual fields and settings. A minimum of 2 tables and several fields are involved. The table manager can not be applied here.

As stated in another topic, Cobalt 9 will deliver a similar functionality...
