Title says Cobalt v.8.90

File is v.8.26

BTW, is it really useful to promote 8 in the Cobalt downloads section title? I mean, its still a CP version. And you mix it with v7, which is the actual version for Joomla 2.5 LTS. And I am sure, currently that is the most used J! version.

8.90 is the build of Cobalt 8.

8.26 is the build number of the package which includes Cobalt 8 (build 90), basic fields, comment adapter, etc.

The download section carries both version of Cobalt and fields in 1 place. If you click on a field, you can select the respective download. Same applies to the core Cobalt version. Both versions are in the same place and can easily be identified by the 2.5 or 3.0 icon.

??? Its confusing the average user, IMHO.

A typical user experience might be as follows:

  1. Download Section is called Cobalt 8

(somehow, it implies this is the only and stable version, and it is running on the current LTS)

  1. Icons are showing compatibility (good visual hint)

  2. Download package title is higher and newer than the download package name

(for a visiter, it doesn´t really matter if this is a package or a single component. The download belongs to that title... and it has a similar but different number)

  1. Oh, wait... there is even a J!2.5 package... but that version number is totally different to the title AND download section name?!?

Did you get the idea? Not optimal, not user-friendly.

We understand that it could be better. But also consider that we have to provide access to commercial field to those ho had already purchased it. And if we create new category and new download elements, then we will have to manually give access to all those users. And also that one who purchase field for Cobalt 7 will not get access to same Cobalt 8 field. So it have to be in the same article. We try to make UX as better as possible but there are some limitations.

I understand your concern. But version of package cannot be the same as version Cobalt. Because for example sometimes there is only field updated. Then package rebuild and version changed but Cobalt version stay the same.
