Based on the last Blog post (8 months ago), @asmuz wanted to work on a new version and was asking for a discussion about the "new" product". This discussion never happened.

Then the comment was that the new version will come "after winter". Unfortunately, the year was never mentioned.

I presume the existing version will have some problems under PhP 7.4 and PhP 8.x

I even can not install the latest V8 on a new Joomla installation.

Hello Andi,
Just noticed your repo on Github ;)
Is this something like a fork and re-imagination of Cobalt?
What about @Asmuz's plans? Are you in contact or colaboration?
Just curious if this ends up in 2 completely different extensions and solutions. Most likely without any compatibility, right?

Any info is appreciated.
Best regards!

Hi my friend

"Is this something like a fork and re-imagination of Cobalt?"

yes a fork based on Cobalt 9 in Github with a new name JoomCCK

"What about @Asmuz's plans? Are you in contact or colaboration?"

Many genuine cobalt users contact me to fork the componenet and continue the development, cuz no one here answer or cares.

"Just curious if this ends up in 2 completely different extensions and solutions. Most likely without any compatibility, right?"

yes but migration will be easy.

here repo link: https://github.com/JoomBoost/JoomCCK

Joomla is an open-source CMS, and updates and extensions can vary based on the developer's schedule and priorities. It's essential to stay updated with the latest news and announcements from Joomla and the specific cookie clicker extension you are interested in for the most accurate and current information.
