As I found Joomla 4 will use Bootstrap 4 and CSS GRID, second one will be used for frontend templates. More details here

At the end in Summary I read this recommendation :

If you're building a template in Joomla 4, or are creating the frontend layout for an extension, don't rush into using Bootstrap 4. You should consider relying on CSS Grid instead.

How it will affect on Cobalt future version? Will we get same headache as now with BS2 and BS3 ?

If you want to migrate you old templates, yes you will have to adjust those, but not match. Cobalt and уmerald will be have BS4 templates by default.

I don't worry about templates as I can create both BS4 and CSS Grid template, but I worry about aspects which are dedicated to Cobalt core files.

For example now I am using Cobalt with BS3 template and created custom template for all views and it looks great for me, but I am not able to set moderators because modal window for setting moderators is handled from Cobalt core files, same is for attach related record feature for relation fields, which does not display modela window correctly.

Is it possible to separate this features from Cobalt core?
