Hello Sergey,

Do you think is it possible to some sorting options for "cobal types as comments"

So when you use colbat types as comments for reviews, the list of those reviews to be able to:

  • sort them by date
  • sort them by rating

Also an ability to quick search into those reviews ?

Regards

Hi,

you can sort comments if you are in comments list view (Show all comments button) but not if you are in article.

I asked this a couple weeks ago and the answer was No.

I do believe that Cobalt type as comment has primary order parameter.

Well it has, but what I wanted to is it to have those features for people in frontend, so they can use them to arrage, search..

I see. In cobalt 9 it will be possible because of Ajax load. Right now in module it will reload whole page which make not so much sense.

Just a quick idea and workaround: What about a client-side Javascript solution? Something like a "table-sorter" or TinySort for any nodetype. Or even Isotope and MixItUp seem applicable.

It will not work. JS will sort only items that ar loaded. If you load them with one order then limit to 20 and then JS order will apply one to those 20.

Yep, I am aware of this "limitation". I assumed that either all reviews are displayed, or that a visiter just want to sort the visible part temporarily. Often used for list of items, where you want to switch from a table to a grid display. Just for a quicker/better overview.
