Hi guys,

We're having problems with Cobalt on a multilanguage Joomla installation: http://cic.webcoding.com.ar

You'll see that we have created three different menues for each of the different languages: Spanish, Portuguese and English. In each menu, we set the link to Cobalt section with proper name for menu item.

In Cobalt, we just have one section for institutional news (in spanish, "Novedades") where Language Mode is set to "Records submitted on current language" so that we can write translations for each news article.

The problem is that links to Cobalt section are not working since when you click on them, you get ridirected to homepage.

You can test it by going to http://cic.webcoding.com.ar/en and clicking on "News" menu

Thanks,

Matias

Hello,

you have installed component AceSEF and this is conflict. To use it require off core joomla language filter plugin. I disabled it and enable asesef, now it work probably correct, but aliases in url is not appear what you input in menu item settings. If turn off sef, rewrite asesef plugin and use core lang filter then all work fine. So if you use acesef so you must use only it, and if completely configure it I think all would work correct.

Hello Support,

Problem existed before AceSEF. In fact, I have uninstalled AceSEF because actually we don't need it, I have also enabled Joomla Language Filter and error persists.

Please retest by going to http://cic.webcoding.com.ar/en and clicking on "News" menu. You'll be redirected to english homepage. News section is working in spanish language only. Portuguese has the same problem as english.

Thanks,

Matias

Hello,

we checked this, and fin a problem. If create multilanguage site with joomla concept, all would work fine. It's mean create section for each language, type for each language for these section. Then itemID in each section settings will coincide with menu items on each language, and correct aliases would display in url.

In your situation, if you want use one section you must have only one link in default language menu on this section. And itemid of this link set in section settings. On menu other language just create System Links > Menu Item Alias where choose link created before.

I hope it will help you.
