Hi,

I know there's an option in the section settings to show expired articles in the list view, but that will make them also accessible in the article view. How can I show expired articles in list view but hide them in article view?

Best regards, Jeff

In section parameter you have special parameter

I know Sergey,

but that controls the permission of expired articles in the list view, not the article view

No. This parameter is used to check access to article full view. SO you can set it special and Who can see recstricted in the list to public.

This means that in the list everyone see it. But no full article access.

I copied the settings like in the picture, but I can't see expired articles in the list view :-(

expired

The tooltip says: Show in the list articles that have expire date less then current.

It doesn't say: View articles that have expire date less then current. Right?

Ok. I see. This parameter works in the list and also in article views. It means you cannot set list view for one group of people and access to read for other.

For the next version of Cobalt I added parameter to type to change article access level when article expired. And it wil change it back when prolonged.

I am still able to see expired articles in the article view, despite setting Change article access level on when expired to Special :-(

Does it only work with new articles?

Jeff Does it only work with new articles?

Since access level is changed on the momen of article expiration, it is not applied to already expired articles. Other words YES only to newly expiring articles.

I thought so.

Luckily I was able to replace the access levels with a database tool. Thanks for adding this to the Cobalt core, Sergey.

+1
