Hello,

in gallery field I can specify allowed file formats for images but I can't do this in image field. Any specific reasons why it's not implemented in image field?

It has formats built-in 'jpg', 'jpeg', 'png', 'gif'.

So I need to make a copy of field and modify it to restrict gif from uploading?

Of course not! I changed in new version of field. There will be a parameter.

There is a little bug in form. If you specify allowed formats in field parameters as png,jpg,jpeg and you then select gif image to be uploaded it gives you warning

Not allowed file extension for field Image. You may only attach png, jpg or gif

See gif at the end. This can be confusing to users.
