Section in category URL

Hi,

why is there section in category url and not in item url? Is it possible to remove section from category url?

You mean section name? I do not think it is possible. because section and its parameters is what loaded first. Even before category.

Items do not need section. Section parameters are not applicable to item. Only type parameters.
